Summary

Soldiers of the Second Australian Imperial Force at the Torrens Parade Ground for a Parade of Battalions prior to embarkation around 1940. The soldiers may be men of the 2nd 10th Battalion, assembled for a final parade before embarking for North Africa. In the foreground on the left is a young 'paper boy' selling papers. The building on the left was later used by the South Australian branch of the RSL for its headquarters and museum.
