Summary

Winston Churchill feeding the white kangaroo 'Digger' at the London Zoo, Regent's Park. The caption on the verso reads: '"Winnie" meets "Digger" at London Zoo - Australian Stock Owners gift. Photo shows:- Mr Winston Churchill shakes "hands" with "Digger", the Australian albino kangaroo, at the London Zoo, in Regent's Park. "Digger" is a gift to Mr Churchill from the Stock Owners' Association of South Australia. G/DAW. 10th September, 1947. PN-s. (US. Syd.)'. The man in the grey hat is former Australian Prime-Minister Stanley Bruce, who was living in England and a member of the House of Lords.
