Summary

Painting in abstract style on paper in response to a newspaper subject in the 'Sunday Mail' on 25 February 1961 seen by Ostoja-Kotkowski. The first paragraph reads: 'New Moon Bounce: Scientists here [in Sydney] last night picked up signals bounced off the moon by engineers in England.' On the paper of the painting has been glued collage in the form of diamond-shaped stamped gold foil shapes travelling from one white cut-out figure of a human up to the moon symbol in the centre and back to another cut out figure. Signed 'Ostoja' at bottom right.
