Summary

Group of young people on a wagon at the Stirling West Hills Carnival in aid of the Red Cross Prisoners of War fund. Signs on the wagon read 'Vote for Queen of 32nd Battalion'. The Mail newspaper of 26 January 1918 reported, "Among the attractions was a queen competition, the candidates being ... Miss M. Whittle, Crafers (32nd Battalion)". As can be seen in PRG 733/49 the sacks on the end of poles were held out from the wagon during the procession from Crafers to collect donations.
