Summary

Two army officers and two civilians at a military event, likely at Mitcham Camp. A researcher has suggested that the officer on the far left is Lieutenant Arthur Francis Lindsary Harper, Adjutant of Mitcham Camp, standing next to Major Walter Leslie Stuart, the second Commandant of Mitcham Camp, and in the centre, South Australian Governor Sir Henry Galway in civilian clothing and holding a cane, rather than wearing his usual British military uniform.

There is a picture of 'His Excellency the Governor (Sir Henry Galway) amd the Camp Commandant (Major Stuart) watching the bomb throwing' at the Mitcham Camp in 'The Observer', Saturday 19 February 1916, page 25; it appears likely that that this photo was taken on the same day.
