Historical information

The photograph was accompanied by a letter from E.M. Beivor of Bowral who wrote: 'As the plane came in to land, the crowd completely lost their heads and rushed towards her, the mounted police dashed forward at the same time. ... Landing was in paddocks at Hampstead near the Northfield Hospital.'
