Historical information

Malcolm Roy Schottelius was born 14 September 1914 at Kent Town, SA, son of Ernest Carl and Edith Linnett (nee Mason). He enlisted in Adelaide, and was assigned to the 2/3rd Machine Gun Battalion (service number SX9171). He died on 15 June 1941 from injuries received in battle, and was buried at the Olive Beach War Cemetery (now known as the Khayat Beach War Cemetery).
