[Hardwick House was an Elizabethan manor house originally owned by Sir Richard Drury and subsequently purchased in the 17th century by Robert Callum, starting a Callum family occupation of the site that spanned three centuries. Two of Craven Ord's sons married into the Callum family - Craven Ord (Junr) married Peggy Blagarve, and Robert H. Ord married her sister Elizabeth Anne Blagarve. Both girls lived at Hardwick House until the death of their aunt. Sir T.G. Callum was Sir Thomas Gery Callum (1741-1831).]
