Summary

'George', possibly George Hassard Finniss, France, 17th December 1918. Postcard addressed to Mrs. J.H.S. Finniss, and inscribed 'This was taken "into the line" recently and I am standing in the porch of a shell-shattered church in the grounds of a monastry. Of course it is quite unretouched and I might add, I am really not as careworn as this photo would imply! George.'
