Summary

A brass Cupid-like figure reading a book, enclosed in a glass dome. behind the figure is a hand written note which reads 'An old family relic brought from England by John White in the ship Tam O'Shanter in 1836 and left in my care in 1860 mounted since Wm White' (glass dome ornament housed separately from other items)
