Historical information

Born in London, William Everard arrived in South Australia aboard the 'Africaine' in 1836. Member of the House of Assembly for Encounter Bay and a Member of the Legislative Council. Associated with the National Bank, Payneham and Paradise and Goodwood Tramway Companies, Trust and Agency Company, Adelaide University, Botanic Gardens, City Land and Investment Company, Talisker Mine and the Unitarian Church.
