Historical information

The Observer newspaper, 26 April 1919, page 25, has a photo taken from the other side of the viaduct of a very similar train. It reports "This train which left Adelaide for Bridgewater at 10.30 am on Wednesday, April 16, was the last one to pass over the viaduct, which has been cut out of the hills route owing to the diversion of the traffic through the new Sleep's Hill tunnel."
