Summary

Returned soldiers' cottage constructed for the Australian Town Planning and Housing Conference and Exhibition held in Adelaide 17-24 October 1917. The cottage was erected on the Jubilee Oval. South Australian architects submitted entries in a design competition for the cottage. It was won by Albert S. Conrad and Frank H. Conrad. Further information is available in the Official Volume of Proceedings of the conference. See also a photograph in The Critic 24 Oct 1917, p13. Sign on gable reads 'Eureka terracotta roofing tiles'.
