Summary

The Governor-General of Australia, Lord Munro Ferguson, and the Governor of South Australia, Sir Henry Galway, with army officers during a visit to the army camp at Mitcham. Herbert Russell is seated on the left; the Governor General, Sir Ronald Munro-Ferguson is 3rd from left, with Sir HenryGalway to his left. Lieut. Harper (adjutant) is standing on right end of row. A photo taken at the same time appeared in 'The Critic, Wednesday 15 September 1915, page 17; a full page pictorial spread, including one of the these officers and others with a list of names, appeared in 'The Chronicle', 18 September 1915, page 28-29.
