Official party watching Ann Peake (nee Thomas), wife of the Premier of South Australia, laying the foundation stone for the Education Building, Flinders Street, Adelaide, Wednesday 18 September 1912. Also present at the ceremony were the Premier (Archibald Peake), the Commissioner of Public Works (R. Butler), the Chief Secretary (J. Bice), the Attorney General (H. Homburg), the Minister of Agriculture (T. Pascoe), the Speaker of the House of Assembly (L. O'Loughlin), the Mayor of Adelaide (John Lavington Bonython), and Lady Way.
