Summary

German sailors dressed in comic costume for a 'Crossing the Line' ceremony on board the German Mail Steamer 'Zieten'. The 'Zieten' made many voyages to Australia prior to WW1. The 'Zieten' was bound from Australia to Bremen when war broke out, and headed instead for Mozambique.
