Spectators watching the Open Carnival at Gilberton Amateur Swimming Club, Severn Street Gilberton, January 1923. Insert portrait photograph is of the winner, Gordon "Bags" McGlinchey, swimmer for North Adelaide Amateur Swimming Club and winner of the Vincent Cup, 100 yards Freestyle. He was regarded as the best Under 18 champion of South Australia.
