Summary

Visiting inspectors holding documents at Jamieson shaft, Broken Hill; miners stand in the foreground and near the shaft. The shaft was named after William Jamieson, a government surveyor who was given the job of mine manager during a visit to survey the BHP lease, and became the 14th shareholder of BHP.
