Summary

Image illustrates a significant event marking the 1st day of Jan 1915 after the attack at white rocks, north Broken Hill. The attacks were by two Turks who had attacked the New Year's Day picnic trains filled with families. This image shows a column of men carrying rifles marching along a road in Broken Hill, New South Wales. Most are wearing civilian clothing and are possibly new army recruits from a local area.
