This is more likely to be the 'Otago', owned by James Simson and others. Joseph Conrad the famous novelist was in command of this vessel in 1889. According to the website of Parks & Wildlife Service of Tasmania this vessel ended its career in Otago Bay in the Derwent River. [from information provided].
