Summary

Sir Ronald Munro Ferguson, Governor-General of Australia arriving by motor cavalcade at Keswick for a medal presentation ceremony. [A researcher has offered an alternative identification - that of the post-war visit of the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VIII then the Duke of Windsor) - see B 226285/248 for comparison. The tents in the background are probably part of an army hospital, with a patient in a gown visible and a push strecher with two wheels behind the vehicles - see B 26285/118 for comparison.]
