Historical information

A.S. Blackburn was awarded the Victoria Cross for conspicuous bravery in France during World War I; he was invalided out in 1917 and returned to legal practice in Adelaide, he was a founding member of the Returned Sailors', Soldiers', and Airmen's Imperial League in South Australia.
