Summary

Captain Harry Butler, standing with a group of men beside Australian Aviation Corp Avro 504K H3033. The aircraft was transferred to the R.A.A.F. in 1921, redesignated A3-16 and operated by No. 1 Flying Training School from 1921 to 1927. This was one of the two "Peace Loan" flights in Adelaide, August 1920. Standing in front - Air Mechanic Lane & Captain Horrie Miller behind - Air Mechanic Gottschalk & Captain F.H. McNamara V.C. (in cockpit, the only V.C. Air Force winner in World War I). [from information provided by researcher].
