Summary

A group of army officers at the Mitcham Camp ca. 1914-1915, possibly 'non-AIF' training staff of warrant officers and sergeants (includes a mix of pre-war uniforms as well as later styles). Man on right of middle row is Robert Conway Parrott who enlisted in the AIF on 18 February 1918. Prior to this he was a 'militia' NCO working at Mitcham Camp doing training. This photo appeared in 'The Observer', Saturday 10 June 1916, page 24, over the caption 'Staff Sergeants-Major, Mitcham Camp'.
