Historical information

Dr. Johnson was honorary physician at the Adelaide Hospital and a Councillor on the Adelaide City Council until 1924 when he resigned to become the Medical Officer of Health for the City of Adelaide, an appointment that he held until 1938; he was a governor and benefactor of the Botanic Garden.
