Summary

Bristol F2b Fighter, E2529, of 'O' Flight, RAF, France, October 1918. Pilot: Lieutenant C.W.B. Loftes of South Australia. 'O' Flight was a long-range reconnaissance flight of Bristol Fighters attached to No. 3 Squadron, Australian Flying Corps. The fast and manoeuvrable F2b was used to gather crucial intelligence from well-defended points behind German lines in the closing months of World War I.
