Faded sepia, exposure affected by light.

Historical information

Geoffrey Tothill was born in Woodville. By 1905 he was a bank clerk in Adelaide. He took photographs of Port Broughton which were published in the Chronicle, 7 January 1911 and 23 August 1913. He is named in Sands & MacDougall directories 1915 as photographer, Port Broughton, and later as wheat agent for Dalgety's. He bought and sold a lot of property in the district, including Port Broughton, Mundoora and Medindie. He is buried in North Road Cemetery, Enfield. (information supplied by a researcher).
