Summary

Sir Henry Galway, Governor of South Australia dressed in army uniform conducting a medal presentation ceremony; he is seen pinning an award on to the jacket of a man in civilian dress watched by others wearing uniform. (The recipient is also pictured in PRG 280/1/15/818 and is either A. Schofield, T.S. Loxton, R.W. Lawson, O.E. Winter or B.L. Woods.)Possibly taken on the same day as PRG 280/1/15/818 which shows the medal recipients after the ceremony, and quotes the detailed caption that appeared in 'The Observer', 25 January 1919, page 25. See also PRG 280/1/15/590, PRG 280/1/15/591, PRG 280/1/15/592 and PRG 280/1/15/593.
