Summary

Women players chasing the ball at the Women's Inter-University hockey match played between Sydney and Melbourne (players wearing the dark skirts) Universities on Thursday 21 August 1919 on the old Sydney University main oval. The building on the left with the spire is Wesley College, and the building in the centre with a tower is the Women's College. The grandstand in the background was destroyed by a fire in 1975. The Sydney University player chasing the ball is F. Tuckey.
