General notes

The Lipson Institute Hall was opened by the Premier of SA, the Hon John Verran in February 1911, on either Thursday 16th or Friday 17th during a visit to Port Lincoln and Tumby Bay. Mr K G Barraud introduced the Premier. On 16th November 1910 the West Coast Recorder reported that the "new hall is slowly nearing completion and when done will be a fine building and a credit to the township".
