Historical information

Information from a researcher: "Carried the sewage outfall pipeline from Geelong to Bass Strait. Built in 1912-15 by contractors Stone & Siddeley who following this contract did work at Glenelg SA. Built in reinforced concrete to an interesting design said to be based on the Firth of Forth railway bridge in Scotland. Victorian Heritage Register H0895 See also "Light Railways" No.80 April 1983".
