Summary

A black and white engraving printed on watermarked paper, engraved using a hatching technique with tonal degradations and isolated linework. The scene depicts a landscape looking from a hill into a treed valley and far over the hills, with a bent gum tree in the foreground. Image may possibly encompass the Adelaide Hills with Mount Barker in the distance. Signed and titled by the artist, number 3. A printers' embossing reading 'The Aldgate Press, South Australia' is on the lower right corner of the paper.
