Caption from Ross Smith's book '14,000 miles through the air': The start from the Hounslow aerodrome, London, November 12, 1919. In flying clothing, from left to right: Sir Ross Smith, Sir Keith Smith, Sergeant Bennett, Sergeant Shiers. The tall man between Bennett and Shiers is Mr R.K. Pierson, the designer of the Vickers Vimy.
