Monthly Competition No. 50 Prize Medal
Silver medal presented by the magazine 'Amateur Photographer' for Monthly Competition No. 50 to J. Kauffmann. The medal is decorated with leaf and sun motifs and the names Daguerre, Woodbury, Abney and Fox Talbot, and is attached by a clasp to a blue ribbon with two bars. It is presented in a case stamped on the interior with 'J.A. Restall Medallist 2 St Martin's Place Broad Street Birmingham'.
International Exhibition Medal
Silver medal presented by the Photographic Society of New South Wales awarded to J. Kauffmann, engraved 'International Exhibition 1903'. The medal is decorated with an early version of the New South Wales Coat of Arms, two reclining figures and a folding camera. It is housed in its original leather case, which is stamped on the interior with 'J.A. Restall, Jeweller Silversmith & Medallist, 82 Cambridge St Birmingham'.

Silver plaque awarded by 'The Amateur Photographer' to J. Kauffmann, 31 October 1905. The plaque is decorated in relief with two women, trees, foliage and other designs. The reverse of the plaque is blank.

Silver vesta case
Vesta case owned by John Kauffmann, engraved with the initials 'JK'. The hallmark suggests it was manufactured by W.H. Haseler of Birmingham in 1906. Vesta cases were used to store and strike matches.
