Summary

Protestors with signs at the Adelaide Justice for George Floyd march in Tarndanyangga (Victoria Square). The signs have the messages 'If you ain't about Indigenous lives matter you ain't about Black Lives Matter', 'Black Lives Matter', and 'No Justice No Peace F**k racist police'. The protest, also referred to as a 'Black Lives Matter' protest, was held on 6 June 2020. It started at Tarndanyangga (Victoria Square), in response to the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis, and was organised by Adelaide Campaign Against Racism and Fascism, and Sosblakaustralia SA Action Group. In addition, it was a rally to protest police violence, racism, and the murder of black people in Australia, and was in solidarity with the Aboriginal liberation struggle. Attendees were instructed by the organisers to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines due to COVID-19.
