Historical information

Joyce Kernick began her career with the Education Department in 1922 and in 1938 transferred to the Tourist Bureau, to assist with flower Day preparations. A year later, while working in the Accounts Branch she was appointed secretary to the Deputy Director and the following year she became private secretary to the Director, a position she held until her retirment on 18 October 1966.
