General notes

Two women operating a kinetheodolite on the Woomera Range. The kinetheodolite is a photographic instrument for collection of trajectory data. According to a family member, the woman on the left of the photograph is Patricia Florence Groom (b. 31/12/1933, d. 3/8/1992). Wife of Sydney William Groom. Arrived in Australia 15/2/1964. Lived at Elizabeth when this photo was taken. Worked at WRE 1965(?) to early 1969. The woman on the right is possibly Merrilynn Bell.
