Historical information

Amy Faith Burford and Edith Hope Burford, twin daughters of William John Burford and Caroline Amelia (nee Goodes), were born at Green Hill Farm, Jamestown, on 28 June 1898. They were educated at the Jamestown primary school. Hope was a member of the Baptist Church Choir. Hope married Richard Thomas Battersby in 1928 and lived with him on his farm at Terowie, they had a daughter, Amelia June born 21 June 1930, and son Anthony Bruce born 22 December 1932. Hope died in Adelaide hospital in 1936. Faith married Frederick Charles Moritz in 1924, and had two sons, John Raymond born 3 August 1925, and Brian Claude born 3 November 1927. Faith died in 1977.
