Historical information

Thomas was born on 23 October 1862 at Chain of Ponds, South Australia, eldest son of James Goodes and Emily (nee Robinson). He married Janet Isabell Gordon at the Baptist Church in Jamestown on 23 July 1890. They had a daughter, Rowena May in 1891, and in 1894 Janet and their second daughter, Rodna Emily, both died. Thomas later married Ada Elizabeth Goodes on 18 October 1899, and they had four children: Edna Annie b. 1901, Ruth Emily b.1903, Herbert Ernest b.1906, and Eric George b.1908. Thomas died on 4 August 1921 in Belalie, South Australia, aged 58 years.
