Size of original 16 x 3.7 x 0.3 cm.

Part of a collection comprising digital copies of artefacts, diary and photographs relating to Ernest Arthur Frost's WWI service with the Third Australian Light Horse, and Frost family photographs.

Historical information

Features a raised embossed effigy of George V, while the verso has an image of St George on horseback trampling underfoot the eagle shield of the Central Powers, and a skull and cross-bones, the emblems of death. Above this is the risen sun of victory. The years 1914 and 1918 are contained on the outside edge medal. The riband is orange in the centre, with stripes of white and black on each side and with borders of Royal blue.
