5 Jan 1966: Dept of Public Works, 'The bearer, Mr Mervyn A Smith, has permission to enter the Sydney Opera House site for the purpose of making drawings of the building. Mr Smith is required to observe necessary safety precautions and is to be issued with a safety helmet for use in working hours.'
