Summary

The South Australian National Ballet Company rehearsing for their performance of Swan Lake performed in a flood lit performance on the island in the Rymill Park lake on 20 October 1962 in front of 3,500 people. The company performed Acts one and two of Giselle and a condensed Act of Swan Lake in aid of the St. John Ambulance building appeal. Cecil Bates was the Artistic Director and principal male dance, Helen Beinke danced Odette.
