Summary

A scene from Jazz Spectrum, a ballet by Betty Pounder. Jazz Spectrum premiered at Her Majesty's Theatre, Adelaide, on 26 March 1964. In 2020 the following information was provided by some members of the company : Full call picture on left: All dancers named by colour L - R Red - Garth Welch with Alan Alder, Walter Bourke (hidden), Colin Peasley Blue - Marilyn Jones with Ramona Ratas, Anne Fraser, Margaret Akerman Yellow - Leonie Leahy with Kathleen Geldard, Robyn Croft, Barbara Chambers Purple - Barry Kitcher, Peter Condon, Kelvin Coe (Karl Welander missing) Green - Rhonda Russell, Heather Macrae, Jillian Collinson Orange - Douglas Gilchrist, Roger Myers, Robert Smith It was a publicity photo taken prior to opening night and the four prisms hanging on the set were removed to allow the dancers quicker access onstage.
