Summary

Collection of 230 negatives of the Burra Mine and its operation, likely taken by Doug McLean, but possibly Graham Armstrong, including views of the mine pit and surrounds, failures, walls, machinery and vehicles, mine pit, buildings, blasts, old mine shafts, and rock and ore. Also includes close up views of assorted rocks and ore collected from the mine, and a sequence of copies of early mining operations at the mine. To see a selection of photographs in this collection, search on Archival number PRG 1653/1. Many of the photographs in SERIES 2 have come from these negatives.
