Items belonging to Bernard Cornelius Herman, husband of Vera Gladys Ruby Retchford (sister to Ethel Simpson), comprising: three medals awarded for his service in the First World War, the 1914-15 Star, the British War Medal 1914-1920, and the Victory Medal. Each medal has '2885 Pte B. C. Herman, 10/BN. AIF' engraved on the back or rim. Also comprising a golden fob watch with decorative engraving on the front and back and Roman numerals on the clock face. ca.1918.
