Alternate caption written by Alwin Clements reads 'This is a photograph of the U.S. Army Signal Corps Electrographic mobile 5 colour army map making machine based on inventions made at Finsbury D.S.L. labs. Subsequently 5 units[?] used in Vietnam war. Rate of production 250 maps 24 x 36 inches per hour'.
