Historical information

Herbert Wilhelm Sauer was the son of August and Henriette Sauer, born in 2 July 1893 at Nuriootpa, SA. He enlisted on 7 May 1915 (service number 1056) in the 27th Battalion (Infantry), AIF, and died of wounds on 7 May 1916 in England and was buried at Nunhead Cemetery.
