Summary

The departure of the SS Orsova from Adelaide on the 8th of January 1967. The scene, taken from the wharf incorporates the ships passengers leaning against the railings throwing streamers to a large crowd farewelling the ship. The passengers are dressed in casual summer clothes, consisting of shots, tops and wearing sunglasses. One of the central figures is a middle aged woman dressed in a white summer suit with a matching hat and clutching a brown hand bag, she appears to be waving towards the camera. A few people across from her is middle aged couple where the man appears to be pointing to the camera and the woman at her side is also waving.
