Comprising a bust sculpture in bronze of 'Madam Josephine', with an inscription signed "E.E.". which identifies the sculptor as Evelyn Elhay. The artwork is atop a marble plinth, which includes a bronze plaque. The plaque has been engraved with the following words; 'This Bust Of / MADAME JOSEPHINE / the Doyen of Hairdressing / Was unveiled On / This 19th Day of August 1991 / By Dame Ruby Litchfield D.B.E.'.
