Summary

Group of men posing in front of a corrugated iron building, presumed to be the shearing team with which R.P. Nicholas was working. According to a researcher, the shearer standing back row 3rd from the left is Clarence Mashado b.1900 at Frenchmans, near Avoca Victoria. He and his brother Joseph (Joe) b. 1896, left Victoria as young men and moved to Naracoorte SA were they found employment at shearing sheds throughout Eastern South Australia and Western NSW. Clarence in particular appears in a number of photos taken by Rowland Proctor (Ron) Nicholas.
